LG Optimus L7 II Dual spotted high on Android Jelly Bean 4.3

The LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715 apparently made a blink-and-miss appearance while running on Android Jelly Bean 4.3. It turns out that someone may have got careless while updating the LG product page for the handset and left the specifications revealing what is presumably the upcoming version of the mobile OS by Google. The company was quick to remedy the mistake though and the phone is backing to being featured with the v4.1 software.

So though we didn’t spy with our little eye an LG Optimus L7 II Dual sipping off Android 4.3, there are images implying the same. Android Authority has grabbed a couple of screenshots showing the device description as well as technical specifications mentioning the unannounced OS. According to the report, Nexus 4 was said to be working on Jelly Bean Plus. Well, it definitely looks like the manufacturer has been cleaning up since these pages are back to the specs we’re familiar with.

As stated in the post we’re referring to, this is not the first time v4.3 of the OS has turned up. It was also spotted a few weeks before the Google I/O, but all that fizz boiled down to naught when the company chose to leave it out of the new announcements at the developer conference. We’re hearing unconfirmed word that the OS will be unveiled before August kicks in and this could possibly explain the sighting of the LG Optimus L7 II Dual running it. Or maybe we’re being too hopeful.

The LG Optimus L7 II Dual is not a bad buy for mid-range phone seekers, at any rate. It’s got several interesting features to flaunt and an attractive Rs 18,650 price to boot. The handset currently sports Android 4.1 laced with the South Korean company’s home-brewed UI. It holds on to a 1GHz dual core processor and 768MB of RAM. A 4.3-inch True IPS display is spread across its face and there’s 4GB internal storage accompanied by 32GB external memory. Lastly, an 8MP camera sits on the back and there’s a VGA one above the display.

We don’t know if the Optimus L7 II Dual will be lined up for an update to Android 4.3, but here’s hoping it will for the sake of buyers. After all, even mid-tier devices have been adopting Jelly Bean
