Intex Cloud Y12: Budget 3G Phone

Intex Cloud Y12 is a basic phone which is a perfect entry-level device and can serve as the 'second phone'. Intex Cloud Y12 runs on Android Jelly Bean version 4.2 which is definitely impressive for an entry-level device. Also, the makers have equipped the phone with OTA meaning there might be future upgrades. We do hope to see Jelly Bean 4.3 but hoping for KitKat might be stretching things too far...

Intex Cloud Y12 comes with a 4-inch FWVGA screen. The display resolution and pixel density is unannounced but considering it is a budget device, expectations aren't high. The phone supports dual-SIM and boasts of unique features like "shake to save".

Coming to the heart of the phone. Intex Cloud Y12 comes with a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor under the hood. The phone sports a 512 MB RAM and comes with 4 GB internal memory. While barely of the internal memory is user-available, the phone does support MicroSD expansion up to a further 32 GB.

There's nothing spectacular about the camera. The snapper is quite basic with a 2MP rear-cam with flash. Intex hasn't skipped the front camera like in most budget devices and the phone comes with a basic VGA front cam.

Intex Cloud Y12 comes with all the regular connectivity options and supports WiFi as well as 3G. The phone is available in multiple colours and comes in White, Black, Red and Blue colours. The best part is the 2000 mAh battery which should be sufficient to last the phone for a good long day.

Priced at Rs 5490 Intex Cloud Y12 is definitely a good budget device.
