Intex Aqua Wonder Quad Core pops up via online retail in India

Intex hasn’t officially launched its quad core version of the Aqua Wonder yet, but the device has shown up on online retail in India. And the Android gadget, it seems, is no pushover in terms of the listed specifications of which it boasts. Just recently we reported about the phone, which, at the time, went by a different name and was thought to be ready for an April 12 release.

The device is supposed to come with a quad core processor; however, no light has been shed on how fast it will tick. Even the chip’s manufacturer and exact model hasn’t been revealed. But there will be a 4.5-inch display infused with IPS technology, offering up visuals at a qHD resolution. That amounts to 540 x 960 pixels on the screen.

When it comes to photography, there should be an 8MP camera on the back which has to its credit auto focus and comes with a dual LED flash. The one on the front hasn’t been touched upon much but it is capable of 2MP pictures. Connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, but users will also be able to use the A-GPS with Google Maps.

Even though Jelly Bean version 4.1.2 is the platform of choice, the gadget is still very limited in terms of the RAM it sports. Just 512MB has been incorporated in this case, with 4GB of internal storage available, although an even smaller amount will be accessible to users. Expansion comes by way of a microSD slot which can take cards of up to 32GB in capacity.

Finally, there is a 1,800mAh battery padded in for power delivery, but usage stats have not been mentioned. A host of sensors also make their way into the smartphone for use with apps and games. The phone is a dual SIM gadget and can accept two GSM cards, with the listing suggesting that always-on functionality will be present.

These details of the Intex Aqua Wonder Quad Core are almost identical to those of the dual core version already available in the country. It is expected to sell for Rs. 9,990, and Flipkart offers interested buyers the choice to be notified when the product is in stock.
