Maxx AX8 and AX9Z Race smartphones debut in India

Maxx Mobiles had mysteriously disappeared from the market, but now the company is back with two new devices called AX8 and AX9Z Race in India, both of which are attached with affordable price labels. These phones are currently available through the official company website and select other retailers across the country.

The Maxx AX8 Race boasts of providing a multi-touch real estate of 5 inches, whereas the AX9Z has been fitted with a 5.3-inch touch panel. The former can render visuals in 480 x 800p resolution and the latter is slightly better as it reproduces images in a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. But when it comes to the cameras, the OEM has accessorized these devices with an 8MP primary snapper as well as a front-mounted webcam. Thus, prospective customers can not only capture good quality images and videos, but also make conference calls over the web using these smartphones.

Moreover, the 5-inch smartphone takes advantage of the slightly outdated Ice Cream Sandwich platform and has a 1GHz Mediatek MT6575 processor for ensuring smooth multitasking. Powered by the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 OS, it is driven by a dual core Mediatek MT6577 chipset which clocks in at 1.2GHz.

Both handsets have 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal memory for the purpose of hoarding digital content. A microSD card slot is present for enabling customers to increase the storage by up to 32GB. It goes without saying that they have been pre-loaded with a number of Google mobile services and offer access to the Play store for downloading apps and games.

Complete with all essential communication options like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, these gadgets sport a USB port as well as a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting peripherals. The dual SIM devices are compatible with 3G mobile networks and rely on a 2300mAh battery for keeping them charged up for talk time of close to 5 hours at a stretch.

The Maxx AX8 and AX9Z Race can now be purchased for Rs 8,875 and Rs 12,375 or for a slashed price of Rs 8,218 and Rs 11,458 when using credit cards, respectively.
