Google Play, T-Mobile Now Selling White Nexus 4

The unlocked white Nexus 4 from LG is now on Google Play starting at $299.

Looks like LG's tasty white Nexus 4 smartphone has shown up on Google Play here in the States, costing a mere $349 for the 16 GB model and $299 for the 8 GB model. Customers can even get a free white bumper case with their purchase. Yippee.

In addition to Google Play, T-Mobile is also offering a white version of LG's hot Nexus 4 phone for a limited time on T-Mobile.com. However the company will continue to sell the model with a black color finish at all participating T-Mobile retail stores.

"When combined with T-Mobile's Simple Choice Plan, the Nexus 4 by LG can provide amazing 4G experiences at a superior value – with access to unlimited 4G data on a nationwide 4G network – that only T-Mobile can deliver," the company said on Friday. "The Nexus 4 by LG is available for $19.99 down with 24 equal monthly payments of $17 for well-qualified customers with 0% APR on approved credit."

LG's Nexus 4 was launched seven months ago, and sports a 4.7-inch WXGA IPS screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, a 1280 x 768 resolution (320 ppi), an 8MP camera on the back and a 1.3MP camera on the front. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC, 2 GB of RAM, Wireless N and Bluetooth connectivity, support for wireless charging and more.

LG formally introduced the white Nexus 4 model on Tuesday, and said it would initially land in Hong Kong on May 29 and then roll out across Asia, North America, Europe and the Middle East over the next several weeks.

"Nexus 4 set the standard for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphones," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. "Nexus 4 White delivers the same Google experience to consumers in a stylish and attractive color option."
