Vodafone India has announced that it has entered into collaboration with Disney to introduce the Games & Apps portal in the subcontinent. Disney India’s Interactive business will be responsible for creating content that will be available through the service.

Only recently, the service provider introduced Vodafone Music as well as Vodafone Sports and now it is looking forward to making its mark in the apps and games’ segment. The operator has revealed in its official statement that this portal will host content for smartphones as well as feature phones. Apart from creating applications and providing existing ones through the new store, Disney will also be responsible for maintaining this portal.

And what’s more, all Vodafone subscribers will have the option to download famous Disney games such as Where’s My Water?, Where’s My Perry?, Where’s My Mickey?, Chennai Express, Brave, Toy Story : Smash It! and a number of others. The developer also has a few utility applications like Mickey Planner, Donald Photo booth and Goofy Weather amongst others to its credit and it goes without saying that these will be available in the market too.

Those who wish to download these games and apps can either visit the Vodafone website or SMS Games to 111. You will get content suggestions based on your phone’s compatibility with the app. These apps are compliant with BlackBerry, Symbian, Java and Android. There are options to rate and review them and you can even earn loyalty points.

And what’s more, special tariff plans have been formulated for the new service. You can try the application before buying it and you are not necessarily required to use your credit card to purchase content. It can be done via your Vodafone account as well. Bundles of games are available for prices ranging between Rs 20 and Rs 150.
