Karbonn A9 dual-SIM Android smartphone available online for Rs. 8,999






Karbonn Mobiles' latest Andriod-based dual-SIM smartphone, Karbonn A9 is now available in India via online shopping site Infibeam at Rs. 8,999.

The new Karbonn A9 runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system and is powered by 1GHz processor. It has 3.8-inch display with a 800x480 pixels resolution, 3G and WiFi capabilities, 5MP camera with LED flash along with a secondary front facing camera.


It has 1GB built-in storage along with optional 32 GB additional expandable storage via micro SD memory card. The device comes with a 1,600 mAh battery. The device is available in two colours – black and white.


The new Karbonn A9 is being pitted against other entry-level Android smartphones such as the ViewPhone 3 and those from brands like Samsung, LG and HTC. The Karbonn A9 is priced at Rs. 8,999 at Infibeam, while other online retailer Flipkart is offering it for Rs. 9,199. The device is likely to be officially announced soon.


Karbonn Mobiles has been busy of late. It recently launched KT81 mobile phone with Dolby sound. Last month, the company forayed into the tablet market with its Karbonn SmartTab 1, which features a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen along with a 3D gravity sensor for better gaming experience.
