Haryana government, on Tuesday, introduced the system of dealer point registration of non-transport vehicles. Under this new system, new non-transport vehicles will not be required to be present before the registering authority or any other authority for verification before registration.
This system was first successfully launched from Panchkula on February 28, 2014. Haryana transport commissioner Sumita Misra said that the new non-transport vehicles, sold by any dealer of motor vehicles in Haryana to any resident of Haryana, which are type approved and fully built and manufactured in India, would be registered on production of a certificate of inspection issued by dealers.
Misra said that under the new system, the dealer would login to www.haryanatransport.gov.in and fill form number 20. This would be sent to the concerned registering authority after verifying residence proof of the buyer.
The dealer will generate a hard copy of form number 20 bearing his stamp and signature and unique number of the application. The dealer would fill the certificate of inspection and take pencil print of the vehicle chassis number in the space provided.
